Harry was born in Tripoli Lebanon in the 50s. After a very hard and exhausing young life working on a farm he finally caught a break when he was eighteen. News had arrived from Australia that the restaurant his cousin was working in was in need of staff and he was invited along with his two older brothers to work in Melbourne. He moved to Australia in 1969 at the age of 18.
Although he was grateful for the opportunity to work in the restaurant with his brothers, a few years had passed and he was now married and was not moving forward the way he dreamed he would. He was coming to work in the land of opportunity. After discussing opening their own business with his brothers he realised he ws going to have to do it alone.
Having a childhood friend already living in Adelaide and being so fascineated by our great aussie land set the stage for the next chapter in Harry's life. He moved to Adelaide.
On Monday 4th July 1976 he entered his first business venture with his wife, a fish 'n' chip shop called 'Tequilla Takeaway'. Three days later their first child, a baby boy, was born, whom two years later was blessed with a sister and a few years after that a brother. Thus the 'Harry and The Boys' seed is also born.
Harry had many successful businesses in Adelaide which included a tobbaconist, charcoal chicken, fish and chips, a pizza bar, kebabs and a milk bar, all with his wife and childern working by his side. Accomplishing all that he had set out to do in Adelaide and wanting more of our beautiful island, he moved to Perth.
Perth 1993 – Harry buys Newpark fish supply and a few years later encourages his boys to buy the mini mart next door. He then unveiled to the world the fruits for all his hard work: Harry and the Boys "delivering you the lot".
